“I felt so relaxed. I quickly calmed down and gradually drifted off to sleep.” At the Air Nutri booth in the Medical Devices and Healthcare Products exhibition area of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), a visitor shared her experience with the Slow-Wave Sleep Machine in Sleeptopia. According to the real-time EEG displayed on the screen inside the cabin, the visitor’s brain activity had already decreased significantly less than five minutes after she began using the device, indicating that she was gradually entering a state of sleep.

At this year’s CIIE, Canadian technology company Air Nutri created Sleeptopia at its booth, allowing visitors to experience the effects of the “sleep aid”—the Slow-Wave Sleep Machine. “This sleep aid works in a non-contact, non-invasive manner. It can help the body enter a sleep-ready state within a relatively short period of time, thereby helping people relieve anxiety, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality,” said Li Jingming, Assistant to the Chairman of Shanghai Air Nutri Technology Group Co., Ltd. He explained that the basic principle of the Slow-Wave Sleep Machine is to superimpose and amplify the charged-particle waves emitted by the device with the brain’s slow-wave sleep activity, thereby regulating the brain’s deep-sleep homeostasis. The goal is to help people fall asleep more easily and enjoy higher-quality sleep.

According to the latest global survey data on sleep conditions and sleep awareness, more than 60% of adults worldwide experience sleep-related medical problems. “Everyone hopes to sleep well and live well. We hope our products can help more people achieve this goal,” Li Jingming said.

“Air Nutri has participated in the CIIE six times. Through the CIIE as a platform, our products have gone from being exhibits to becoming commercial products recognized by Chinese consumers. We have benefited from China’s continued expansion of its opening-up and its deepening trade cooperation with countries around the world,” Li Jingming said.

In recent years, in addition to its products entering the Chinese market, physical Sleeptopia locations have gradually appeared in cities across China. At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, a Sleeptopia was also installed in the Olympic Village to provide athletes with sleep support.

According to the company, Air Nutri Group has already signed an agreement with the CIIE Bureau and was among the first to reserve a booth for the 7th CIIE. The company hopes to continue the “connection” between Sleeptopia and the CIIE, while sharing the new opportunities that China’s development brings to the world.
